01/01/2021: Today's Updates...
Snow mounting up on the village rooves...
The total for this snowfall stands at 30cm. So, that is 78.5cm since last Sunday night here in the village, which means it has been quite a week, and also, a pleasantly surprising one in terms of the volume of snow received! This snowfall appears to have petered out, with just a few flurries in the last hour and a half.
Bonjour from Chatel and Happy New Year / Bonne Année!
The theme since last weekend, of the models underestimating the amounts of snow which have arrived in the village, has continued overnight, as... another 27cm of snow has fallen at 1150m (up to 7.30am)!!!
This brings the total measured accumulations of snowfalls in the village since last Sunday night to 75.5cm.
It is currently snowing.
Updates to follow during the day.
