- The Chatel Snow Report
02/02/2021: Today's Updates...
Update 8.10am:
The snow/rain boundary remained mostly just above the village through much of yesterday, so there were no further accumulations of snow in the village. The rain has returned this morning and the snow/rain boundary is heading in the wrong direction, as it is becoming increasingly mild. Although valley temperatures are cold, that snow/rain boundary is likely to go above 2000m today and towards 2200m tonight and at times tomorrow. Although the weather looks drier later in the week, the 0c isotherm may go up to between 2500m and 3000m during the daytime.
There is a chance that colder conditions could return early next week, however, until then, there will be a noticeable thaw at many elevations of the ski area, especially as there looks like being plenty of cloud.
