Here's a couple of photos from this morning... and the mayor of Chatel is on the BBC ... see... France to impose border checks to stop skiing abroad - BBC News
Snow cannon have been operating all night and are still blasting out snow this morning, so despite there being no prospect of the Chatel pistes opening until January, the good news is that that they will be slowly getting into shape. Yesterday's modest snowfall, looks like being added to on Friday, however, at the moment, the charts suggest that the biggest falls of snow from Friday onwards, will be reserved for the southern French Alps, Italy, Southern Switzerland etc, but we could still see a very useful snowfall here. More on this tomorrow, when Friday will start to come into range of the higher res models.
Below are a couple of photos from early this morning.
Temperatures have dipped again overnight and are currently between -3c and -4c in the village and the snow cannon can be seen operating on Linga. Update to follow...
