04/02/2021: Today's Updates...

Update 3.20pm:

There's been plenty of cloud today, along with some hazy sunshine and it has brought a spring-like feel at times to the village. The cloud has meant that the thaw continues at quite a pace...

Update 8.55am:

Bonjour from Chatel.

The skies have cleared overnight, allowing a refreeze of the snow pack and bringing a temporary halt to the thaw. There has been a huge reduction of the snow pack in the village over the last few days and the cover looks like reducing further before we see another snowfall, however, the clearer skies should help preserve the snow. Today, the 0c isotherm is expected to rise to 2500m and it may reach 3000m tomorrow! Chillier air may return on Sunday, however, the jury is out on whether we will see any significant snowfall.
