05/12/2020: Today's Updates...

Update 1.00pm:

Latest hi-res model, Arome, has upgraded forecast snowfall amounts for tomorrow to 10cm to 15cm, which would be very useful when combined with the latest snowfalls and snow making.

Photos from this morning...

Update 9.40am:

This morning's models do show the chance of another area of snowfall arriving overnight and into tomorrow. It looks like being a fairly unusual set up, with the precipitation coming in from the east, which does mean more caution than normal should be applied when looking at the accumulation forecasts, however, there appears to be the chance of another 10cm or so for some parts of the ski area. Updates will appear here as and when the models update during the day.

Below is the Arome hi-res accumulation forecast for the period up to tomorrow evening from www.meteociel.fr ...

Update 8.50am:

Bonjour from Chatel - where there has been a fresh fall of snow overnight, with 13cm to 14cm measured on some surfaces this morning in the village, with a touch less on others. Accumulations should be deeper higher up on the ski area, meaning that this has been a very useful snowfall, which will help the piste preparations for the season... whenever that may be!

Further update to follow during the morning looking at the forecast.

How you can help this season... you will notice on some pages that there is a PayPal tip/donation box, eg on the "About Us" page, where you can send us a tip, if you like what we are doing.
