06/12/2019: Today's Updates...
The updates from the models today have been a case of "steady as she goes" in terms of the potential for a significant snow event on Monday. We'll know a bit more during the evening once the 12z model runs have come out. Update to follow at some stage of the evening...

The signal for alot of precipitation on Monday remains this morning. The chart below is again from Arpege - remember - it is not the actual snow distribution which interests us on this chart - it is the signal for the potential for some large amounts of precipitation which is the interesting thing. In old money, there's the chance of a couple of inches of rain equivalent snowfall for some parts of the area - which brings the chance of a significant snow event.

The snow forecast has been posted at 8am. The overnight models continue to suggest that there is now a reasonable chance of a significant snowfall event for Monday.
Bonjour from Chatel - it’s another temperature inversion morning in Chatel with the colder temperatures in the valley (-3c), whereas parts of the upper village are closer to 0c.
