09/01/2020: Today's Updates... Day 29...

Finally caught up with the latest models and the first news this evening is that there looks like being a bit of fresh snow early tomorrow, but we'll be lucky to get a cm or two higher up, with perhaps a dusting in the village.

Secondly, the models are continuing to suggest a change in the weather pattern after mid-month, so as this keeps cropping up, it is perhaps becoming more likely. What we won't know for some time is whether this is going to be a quick change to wintry weather, or whether there will be a wetter period to contend with first, but at least we are seeing the building blocks of a change appear. As nice as the current weather is, we could do with a proper snowfall to reset conditions on the ski area.

Finally, today continued the run of days of lovely weather, though there was more wind on the summits and some sunny aspect pistes did appear to soften more today in the mild sunshine.

Next update early tomorrow, when there may even be a few flakes of snow falling out of the sky!

Update scheduled for this eve, with a look at the prospects for snow. In the meantime, a couple of photos from this afternoon...
