10/02/2019: Today's Updates... 7.00pm...
The wind is still blowing here in Chatel this evening, with some snow showers and a dusting of fresh snow on the ground. The cold front has passed through and has been one of those underwhelming, rain to snow, blink and you'll miss it type affairs - however - we are more optimistic about the period later in the night tonight and tomorrow... so some decent accumulations are still very possible.
Today has been one of the worst of the season in terms of the weather, with winds causing the entire upper mountain to be closed down this afternoon, from Barbossine to Morclan to Linga to PLJ, with rain and snow this afternoon and some very damp conditions lower down.
There should be better news tomorrow and we'll up be early to post an update on any potential overnight accumulations...
The gale on the upper mountain is causing havoc with the lifts today, as can be seen below...
Bonjour - the weather is cloudy here in Chatel this morning with an unusually high temperature of 5.5c, (which is lower than it has been overnight), with a mild southwesterly wind blowing.
Updates will appear on this page today and the forecast page is expected to be updated
towards 7.45am this morning.
How you can help this season... you will notice on some pages that there is a PayPal tip/donation box, eg on the "About Us" page, where you can send us a tip, if you like what we are doing. There is no obligation to do so, but any donations will help the running costs of this site during the winter season. The more people who help, the better we can make this site.
