10/03/2019: Today's Updates... 6.40pm...


The showery rain has continued this afternoon, with some snow falling right at the top, but the wind has continued to be an issue, keeping the upper ski area shut. There has been some drier and brighter weather to end the day, but further precipitation is expected over the next 24 hours - with some snow on the way, but also some strong winds again at times too - this time from a much colder northwesterly direction.

Next update will be early tomorrow when it will be interesting to see if we have a covering in the village...


Wind is causing disruption again on the upper lifts today with 8 lifts shut at the time of posting of this report. Showery rain has also been an issue, however, the snow/rain limits are set to come down.

Below are a couple of charts from the Arome model from www.meteociel.fr showing the accumulated snow at 6pm this evening - where it is restricted to the very high ground of the area. However, the second charts shows the forecast situation at 4pm tomorrow, when snow is expected to have accumulated to lower elevations, with some useful accumulations now expected for the ski area...
