10/03/2020: Today's Updates... Day 90...

It was a snowy morning in the village and was really quite wintry for a time, before the snow became wetter and eventually turned to rain after midday - however, it was snowier for longer than expected. Unfortunately, the snow/rain boundary has shot up this afternoon, so it is a damp late afternoon / early evening up there.

Snow conditions were reported to be pretty good underfoot during the first couple of hours of lift operation, though things have obviously gone downhill since lunchtime.

Some sunshine is expected tomorrow...

Bonjour from Chatel... snow is falling very lightly early this morning, with an air temperature close to -1C. Milder air is set to arrive today, sending the snow/rain boundary much higher...

This morning's forecast is expected to be online before 7.45am at ... http://www.chatelweb.com/chatel_snow_forecast.php

Most updates during the daytime periods in March will now by solely on the WhatsApp group, with an evening update posted on this page.

How you can help this season... you will notice on some pages that there is a PayPal tip/donation box, eg on the "About Us" page, where you can send us a tip, if you like what we are doing. There is no obligation to do so, but any donations will help the running costs of this site during the winter season. This will also give you access to the WhatsApp group - which on some days, will be the only place where forecasts and snow reports are posted.
