11/02/2019: Today's Updates... 6.10pm...

Total today for the village = 3.5cm.

The cloud has continued this afternoon with some further snow flurries, but there has been more and more drier spells. Further showers / flurries are possible this evening and then we enter a dry spell overnight, which could last some time... with a taste of spring-like weather...

A longer snow shower has brought 2.5cm of fresh snow to the village, bringing the total since 7am to 3cm...

All lifts are operating this morning, as that wind has dropped. Reports suggest 20cm or so of fresh snow at 1800m this morning (Avoriaz is reporting 25cm), however, estimating snowfall is really tricky this morning due to the high winds of yesterday and last night - so these figures might be slightly overestimating amounts. The wind should have resulted in some deep pockets of snow in some areas and some scouring in others.

There have been further snow showers and flurries since the last update, with about 0.5cm deposited. Photos below looking up to Linga. Note the wind has blown the snow from the trees...

Bonjour - 6cm of snow and graupel has fallen since yesterday afternoon in the village. Currently between -1c and -2c, with snow flurries.

Updates will appear on this page today and the forecast page is expected to be updated

towards 7.45am this morning.
