11/03/2020: Today's Updates... Day 91...

A mild and cloudy day for the ski area, with the expected brighter weather only appearing this afternoon and even the brightness was a little hit and miss. The snow on the ski area was wet, with choppy pistes.

There is some rain and snow on the way tomorrow:

Latest snow/rain limit forecast is as follows:

3pm: 2300m 6pm: 2300m

9pm: 2100m/2200m

Midnight: 2000m

2am: 1750m 4am: 1600m

So, at the moment, this looks like being an above village event. Note that these figures are from the hi-res Arome model, which is forecasting a much higher 0C isotherm than the GFS model for this next precipitation event.

Bonjour from Chatel... it is a cloudy start to the morning here in Chatel with temperatures of between 2C and 4C in the village and immediate valley area. Brighter weather is expected today, though the avalanche risk is set to remain very high (Level 4).

This morning's forecast is expected to be online at 7.45am at ... http://www.chatelweb.com/chatel_snow_forecast.php
