16/01/2019: Today's Updates... 6.40pm...

6.40pm:

Some snow is on the way tomorrow and here is the latest chart from Meteociel.fr showing the Arome model, which is often (not always) not too far off. At the moment, this almost looks like being the best case scenario, with other models offering similar or lesser amounts - but it won't be long before we know. Latest thoughts on this on the forecast update at about 7.30am tomorrow...

4.10pm:

The weather and snow conditions today have carried on where yesterday left off, though with a bit more in the way of wind in places and temperatures were much milder today on the sunnier aspect slopes, with the shaded slopes staying freezing. There has been plenty of sunshine, though recently a bit more in the way of cloud has arrived and this heralds the change to cloudier weather for tomorrow, with some snowfall expected for the afternoon and evening. There will be a quick round up of the potential quantities on a post this evening.

6.50am:

Bonjour - it is clear and cold this morning in Chatel, with temperatures around -7c a short distance below the village - though it looks as though there is a noticeable temperature inversion currently taking place.

There will be further updates today, starting first on the forecast page, which will be updated between 7.30am and 7.45am...
