The clouds are parting at times to allow glimpses of the summits.
The avalanche risk is really very high today (Level 4) and there appears to have been a huge slab avalanche below the Pointe du Mouet...

There has been a dusting of snow since the last update.
Air temperatures are close to -5c this morning.
After a dry day today, further snowfall is expected to arrive later this evening, with accumulations during tomorrow too.

The lifts on the ski area are closed until further notice. Next update from the French government is expected around the 20th January.
Bars, restaurants and cafes are expected to remain closed until further notice (takeaway services allowed).
Although confinement has ended in France - an overnight curfew is in place from 8pm to 6am. This will be from 6pm to 6am from Saturday 16th Jan.
Private gatherings indoors should be kept to a maximum of 6 adults according to advice from the French government.
Travel between regions in France is allowed.
