17/01/2021: Today's Updates...
The snow has been heavy at times this morning, with light, fluffy big flakes falling. Accumulations appear to have been in the region of 20cm since it started snowing last night, perhaps a couple of cm's more. Photos have been posted over the on the WhatsApp group this afternoon.
Snow has been falling since midday and there was an additional 4cm of fresh snow measured at 1.45pm. Currently snowing.

Snow has been falling again here in Chatel overnight and there is more to come according to the forecasts and latest models. The total so far for this snowfall (up to 7am) is 6.5cm of light, powdery snow. Temperature currently around -3c and it is dry.
The Arome model suggests appears to be on the right track this morning, with the first chart showing its forecast up to about now and the 2nd showing total accumulations by tomorrow morning. Charts from www.meteociel.fr
The lifts on the ski area are closed until further notice. Next update from the French government is expected around the 20th January.
Bars, restaurants and cafes are expected to remain closed until further notice (takeaway services allowed).
Although confinement has ended in France - an overnight curfew is in place from 8pm to 6am. This will be from 6pm to 6am from Saturday 16th Jan.
Private gatherings indoors should be kept to a maximum of 6 adults according to advice from the French government.
Travel between regions in France is allowed.
