17/02/2020: Today's Updates... Day 68...


Dismal is not a word you would expect to associate with Chatel, however, that is what the weather is this afternoon, with continuous rainfall since midday.

The predicted snow/rain boundary levels for this evening were recently posted on the WhatsApp group.

Fortunately, the weather conditions should be much better tomorrow!

The view from the track to Chalet Theo as the rain came in.


Bonjour from Chatel... where it is another very mild start to a morning with a temperature at our location, which is close to 1200m, of 7.5C, with the valley at 1000m, seeing temperatures closer to 5C!

Update: 1.30pm: Overnight snowfall brought up to 6cm to the village - with less on other surfaces and alot of it has now thawed at this elevation. It was interesting to see more snow a few miles away
