17/02/2021: Today's Updates...
Updated: Feb 18
Bonjour from Chatel.
After a spring-like day yesterday, there was some rain overnight, which has brought a dusting of snow up towards 1700m. Clearer skies early this morning have brought some ice to some surfaces this morning too.
There is little or no prospect for snow over the next 7 days and although today will be a little bit cooler in comparison to yesterday, the trend is for very mild air to become established over the coming days. The 0c isotherm may regularly go above 3000m over the weekend and into next week, with daytime sunshine bringing some rather warm conditions to the village and sunny aspect slopes.
A couple of charts this morning suggest there could be a change during the second half of next week, however, other charts continue the mostly mild theme.
Snow is still generally plentiful on most of the pistes of the area, including those right down into the village into Linga and down to the bottom of the Super Chatel telecabine, however, the thaw in the village does continue.
