18/02/2019: Today's Updates... 6.10pm...

So, when is it going to snow again?

That is the question that we has been asked a couple of times today and at the moment, snow looks very unlikely in the next 7 days and this may extend into the beginning of March. At the moment, the models are not picking up on any noticeable pattern change in the weather, hence the very dry outlook. As is often repeated on these pages, the situation can change very quickly when the models latch onto a new trend, however, until that trend appears,,, fresh snow is off the menu...

The clear skies continue today, though it is just a touch cooler than the last couple of days, but is still feeling really warm in those sunny, sheltered spots. Temperatures may come down a notch or two further tomorrow, before heading upwards again after midweek.

The outlook remains a very sunny one, with mild or very mild daytime temperatures and spring conditions for the ski area.

Bonjour - clear skies to start the day again here in Chatel as the fine spell continues... temperature just below the village in the valley is -4c.

Updates will appear on this page today and the forecast page is expected to be updated

towards 7.30am this morning.

How you can help this season... you will notice on some pages that there is a PayPal tip/donation box, eg on the "About Us" page, where you can send us a tip, if you like what we are doing. There is no obligation to do so, but any donations will help the running costs of this site during the winter season. The more people who help, the better we can make this site.
