20/01/2021: Today's Updates...
The latest model output suggests some precipitation arriving during tomorrow, especially tomorrow night, however, it does look like being fairly mild until later in the day on Friday, so the snow/rain boundary is now looking like being above the village tomorrow night, with the snow returning to the village on Friday evening / night. Thereafter, there looks like being spells of snow through the weekend and into Monday. Milder air is looking increasingly likely to make an appearance by midweek next week, perhaps bringing some unwanted rain.
In terms of quantities of snow between Friday and early next week, there is still the potential for significant quantities, but there is some uncertainty regarding the behaviour of the various areas of precipitation, which will be moving through - so confidence is currently low on the numbers being churned out by the various models.
The rain and snow of Thursday evening is now in range of the highest res Arome model, which also suggests some rain and snow tomorrow afternoon. The first chart is the expected snowfall up to 1am Friday, with the second chart showing precipitation - which does suggest a wet period for the village.
