22/02/2020: Today's Updates... Day 73...

Warm sunshine has bathed the area today with spring conditions on the ski area - on the sunny aspect slopes and it has really felt warm in the village, with temperatures very mild again for the time of year. There have been some great conditions at times on parts of the ski area over the last couple of days and most pistes in PLJ and on Linga look secure into April, however, we still can't hide from the fact that snow levels are very low in other areas. The photo below is at 1600m on the way to Mouet on the snow shoe trail, which is now becoming very thin in places!

There are another couple of very mild days still to come, however, we may see a taste of winter return on Tuesday evening and on Wednesday, with snowfall for all of the ski area ... but more on this on tomorrow morning's forecast.

Bonjour from Chatel... the air temperature is currently close to -2C at our location, which is just below 1200m and a glorious day of sunshine is expected on the ski area...

This morning's forecast is already online at... http://www.chatelweb.com/chatel_snow_forecast.php - and updates on this page will follow during the day.
