- The Chatel Snow Report
22/11/2018: Today's Updates... 6.00pm...
6.00pm
Clear skies have been the order of the day here in Chatel and the photo below is from a late afternoon jog up to Saix, where the view never fails to disappoint!
A glance at the latest models this evening brings little resolution to any detail beyond the weekend period, though both the GFS and UK Met Office models operational runs are suggesting some potentially very mild air encroaching on the area during the second half of next week, which is not really what we want to see. All that is still a relatively long way off but it will be discussed further on tomorrow morning's forecast update, which will also discuss the potential for snowfall tomorrow night, following the chance of some foehn conditions beforehand.
Over the weekend, we should start to have a much better idea of whether there is any chance of anything opening for the first weekend in December.
Stay tuned and bye for now...

The skies are clear here in Chatel this morning, which is good news for snow retention in general, apart from on the sunniest slopes. There is not a great deal to report since our forecast page update this morning, as we await further info from the models regarding precipitation on Friday night and next week... next update this evening...

Bonjour from Chatel. The forecast page has just been updated a few minutes ago and we expect an update on this page later this morning.
How you can help this season... you will notice on some pages that there is a PayPal tip/donation box, eg on the "About Us" page, where you can send us a tip, if you like what we are doing. There is no obligation to do so, but any donations will help the running costs of this site during the winter season.
