23/02/2019: Today's Updates... 12.40pm...

12.40pm:

The sun is shining brightly here in Chatel today bringing some warmth again after a cold start to the morning, with spring skiing conditions for the ski area. The snow continues to hold up well, however some areas are now coming under pressure, such as the link to Morgins, which may not last much longer.

The models today continue to suggest a change as we head into March. Although there are some differences regarding how quickly this change will manifest itself, with this morning's ECMWF model suggesting significant rain and snow on the 1st March, it does look as though the mostly mild conditions may continue, which would mean an elevated snow/rain limit from any precipitation during early March.

Before then, the weather is expected to become exceptionally mild during the daytime next week.

12.30pm today.

7.15am:

Bonjour - the skies are clear here in Chatel this morning with temperatures around -4c in the valley, just below the village. It is looking like another spring day on the ski area...

Updates will appear on this page today and the forecast page is expected to be updated

towards 7.45am this morning.
