Day 9 Of The 2018/19 Chatel Ski Season:

Rain still falling this evening in Chatel and across the ski area.

Next update early tomorrow...

The rain held off until mid-afternoon - however it is now chucking it down again...

The weather remains overcast here in Chatel, however, it has remained dry so far with precipitation passing through just to the north and northeast of the area. Rain is still expected later, however, at least there is some dry weather for those on the ski area this morning.

A jog up to Col de Saix found the following view this morning. There is alot of water coming down the mountain streams and paths up there...

It is a cloudy morning here in Chatel - BUT - it is dry at the moment!

A look towards the top of the Linga area shows that you have to get to almost 2000m before there is snow on the trees. Conditions are expected to be at their best this morning, with a deterioration arriving this afternoon, especially later.

33/40 lifts are expected to be open this morning and 26/46 pistes.

The forecast page is expected to be updated by 7.45am and updates will be posted on this page during the day.

How you can help this season... you will notice on some pages that there is a PayPal tip/donation box, eg on the "About Us" page, where you can send us a tip, if you like what we are doing. There is no obligation to do so, but any donations will help the running costs of this site during the winter season. The more people who help, the better we can make this site.
