26/01/2019: Today's Updates... 7.45pm...

7.45pm:

A quick and rather belated look at the latest models and forecast tools... there is the usual range of accumulation forecasts, with the Meteo France automated output still going for a very significant snowfall. Arome thinks differently, as the graphic below from www.meteociel.fr shows. The distribution looks more favourable in the south of the PDS, but a touch underwhelming for our area - with useful, but not particularly significant quantities. This scenario is noticeably different to much of the rest of the output, from the models of a lesser resolution. Arome is often not too far off the mark, so we will soon know if it has got this one right...

7.50am: Note - the following edit has just been made to the forecast page... "any periods of thicker cloud today could bring a few flakes - but these are not expected to amount to anything."

The reason for the edit was a closer look at the local precipitation radar which does show a few snow showers flirting with the area.

6.50am:

Bonjour - Temperatures are less cold this morning (in relative terms), in the village area, with a bit more cloud overhead, but are still close to -5c at the moment.

Updates will appear on this page today and the forecast page is expected to be updated between 7.30am and 7.45am this morning.

How you can help this season... you will notice on some pages that there is a PayPal tip/donation box, eg on the "About Us" page, where you can send us a tip, if you like what we are doing. There is no obligation to do so, but any donations will help the running costs of this site during the winter season. The more people who help, the better we can make this site.
