26/12/2019: Today's Updates... Day 15 of the 2019/20 Season...

The cloud has thickened this afternoon, heralding the arrival of some rain and snow tonight and tomorrow and there has been some light graupel/ ice pellets falling in the last few minutes.

The latest indicators from the hi-res models suggest tonight and tomorrow will still be a marginal event for the village, so whether we see rain, sleet, graupel or snow, or a mix of all of these is still very much up in the air at the moment. So, we don’t know whether this event will help the lowest slopes which need snow, such as the Stade at Linga. With some luck, we may stay on the snowy side of the snow/rain boundary.

The good news today is that more of the area is open, with all but 3 lifts operational and all links open too, so we are not far from being fully functioning.

Snow conditions have generally improved a bit since yesterday’s rock hard pistes, with more areas seeing relatively better piste conditions, after the overnight piste maintenance, aided by a bit of man made snow.

After the upcoming precipitation event, there looks like being a dry and mostly fine spell, which could last through all of the New Year week...

There's been a bit of cloud coming and going this morning, however, the good news is that the Linga to Vonnes link has opened today...

Snow cannon also operational up at Super Chatel early this morning.
