27/02/2021: Today's Updates...
Bonjour from Chatel.
The dry weather continues here in Chatel, with yesterday seeing another day of warm sunshine.
Photos from a trip up Morclan yesterday, were posted in real time on the WhatsApp group. There remains plenty of snow on the pistes, though there is that tinge of Saharan sand in many areas and some sunny aspect slopes are shedding snow. It is surreal seeing the lifts of Chatel operating on the Swiss side of the border - eg at Tour de Don, Chalet Neuf etc.
Photo below from the top, with Ombrieux to the left of the photo. Note the slight peachy tinge in the snow.
Those who bought PDS season passes in the "flash sale" from the Chatel ski pass website last spring, should now be receiving emails giving options to either roll them over to next season, receiving a credit note or getting a refund. This applies to unused passes.
Most updates and photos this season are posted on the WhatsApp members group
