30/01/2019: Today's Updates... 8.15pm...

We may have a few more cm's to report early tomorrow, so next update will be at 6.30am-ish.

It should be an interesting forecast tomorrow morning, especially regarding where the 0c isotherm is going to be situated on Friday, as there are some mixed messages from the models this evening regarding that, which could mean we do see a spell of rain lower down...

The snow fizzled out this afternoon, after adding another 1cm, and some brighter weather arrived with clear skies to end the day. Conditions on the mountain this afternoon were excellent - yes, the pistes were chopped up by then, but the snow quality was great with cold and dry, powdery snow and there were plenty of powder stashes to explore. There appeared to be at least 30cm of fresh snow at 1800m and possibly a fair bit more in places, perhaps as much as 40cm?

Amounts in the village... overnight to 7am this morning = 14.5cm.

Since 7am: 4.5cm + 3.5cm = 9cm

Total snowfall at 1200m since last night = 23.5cm.... Total in the village since Sunday = 59.5cm

2pm-ish on Linga

Snow still falling - lighter in the last hour...

Amounts... up to 7am from last night = 14.5cm.

Since 7am: 4.5cm + 3.5cm = 8cm

Total snowfall at 1200m since last night = 22.5cm.... Total in the village since Sunday = 58.5cm.

Many thanks to the repeat tippers - who have used the PayPal donate button on the "About Us" page... really appreciated.

Bonjour - the news is very good this morning - 14cm of fresh snow has fallen overnight at 1200m by 6.30am - more than expected... and currently snowing...

Updates will appear on this page today and the forecast page is expected to be updated between 7.30am and 7.45am this morning.
