Update 5.20pm:
There has been some spells of heavy snow this afternoon, with 8cm falling in the village up to 4.30pm. This brings the total for the season to over 2.5m for the village. Currently snowing. Photos have been posted on the WhatsApp group today...
Update 1pm:
There's a slight downgrade on the latest Arome forecast for this evening... chart from www.meteociel.fr

Update 7.35am:
The overnight total for 1150m is 7cm.
This bringing the total for this snow season to 243.5cm in the village.
Update 6.55am:
Bonjour from Chatel.
Rain arrived yesterday late yesterday afternoon in the village, but this turned to snow and there is a fresh covering on the ground in the village this morning. Temperatures have dipped to close to -3c in the valley and it is currently dry. Further snowfall is expected to arrive this afternoon and tonight.

The lifts on the ski area are closed until further notice.
Bars, restaurants and cafes are expected to remain closed until further notice (takeaway services allowed).
Although confinement has ended in France - an overnight curfew is in place from 6pm to 6am.
Private gatherings indoors should be kept to a maximum of 6 adults according to advice from the French government.
Travel between regions in France is allowed.
